So this Saturday July 17th is a great charity event called the Great Canadian Ultimate Game. This is a cross-country game that benefits two great charities – Boys and Girls Clubs, as well as Right to Play!
Surrey Ultimate is the last game of the event, and this means we may be able to decide who wins the game! The score passes from event to event, so we will wrap it all up.
The game will take place on Saturday night 11pm – midnight (not a typo, we are the last game), at South Surrey Athletic Park Turf Fields (14600 20th Ave, Surrey BC). We have the field booked for an additional half hour on either end to allow for warm up and cool down!
If you are interested in playing, contact us. We ask that you bring a minimum $10 donation for one of the charities. Please include in your email the following details:
- Name
- Address if donation over $20 (for tax receipt)
- Which charity you would like to support (and play for)
Please come join us, this will be a blast, great for Ultimate in Surrey and in Canada, and most importantly great for a couple of charities.

Sunday League Play
The Sunday League is on! We are playing a 7 -on – 7 co-ed format this summer, and I am pretty excited about it! Here are the details:
Location South Surrey Athletic Park (14665 20th Ave)
Dates: May 30th – August 29th, 2010
Times the times change midseason, pay close attention!
Sundays – May 30th – June 27th: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Sundays – July 4th – August 29th: 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Tuesday Night Drop In / League Play
Tuesday Nights are going to be awesome. We are starting with a drop-in program, then hopefully switching to some sort of league play format in June. Come out and play some drop-in, check out the league, then register for team play!

I was sent this amazing video by Ryan Koop, an Ultimate player from Surrey who is doing some great work overseas. Ryan and his wife helped coach one of 11 teams who played in an Ultimate tournament in a Karen refugee camp… This is amazing stuff, you have to check out this video!!!
